Work Experience
A Communications practitioner with 15 years of experience. Have managed Communication and Public Relations for several associations and networks supporting them to build partnerships with public and private institutions in Uganda and East Africa, specifically to facilitate decentralisation, good governance, energy access, improved local service delivery and access to justice for the poor and disadvantaged groups.
Currently, the Communication and Membership Officer at the East African County and Local Governments Association (EACLGA), a regional umbrella organisation for National Local Government Associations in the East African Community (EAC) based in Arusha, Tanzania, which advocates for strengthening centre-local relations and the Devolution policy across member states.
My work is to upscale EACLGA’s profile through documenting, developing content, branding, and informing its members and stakeholders. I use social media and other digital platforms to facilitate interaction, wide reach and feedback, to ensure effective communication; and also manage EACLGA’s SDG Storytelling Local Action Project supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Associations and Networks supported include:
1. Uganda Local Governments Association (ULGA) 2008- 2015
2. Legal Aid Service Providers Network (LASPNET) 2015-2019
3. Uganda Solar Energy Association (USEA) 2019-2021
4. East African County and Local Governments Association (EACLGA) 2022-present
